Star Wars: Ahsoka Star Rosario Dawson Studied Animated Shows "Over and Over and Over"

Star Wars: The Force Awakens "Over and Over and Over," Rosario Dawson's Favorite Animated Shows

Rosario Dawson plays Ahsoka Tano in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the Star Wars film, but she's keeping an eye on the character's animated origins. It was in the second season of The Mandalorian that Dawson made his debut as Boba Fett. Her next project is the Disney+ series Ahsoka, which she is currently filming. Star Wars Celebration Anaheim was the first place fans saw video from the upcoming show. With characters from Star Wars Rebels making the transition to live-action, the show's animation roots were laid bare for all to see. Sabine Wren, played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens During the convention, Dawson said that they've never forgotten the characters' cartoon origins and that they've continued to draw inspiration for their live-action training from these frames.

As Dawson puts it, "freeze-framing" is something you should do a lot of. Our stunt coordinator Ming, a Jedi in every sense of the word, does some of my favourite work. She was taken away from her family at the age of nine and only visited them once a year until she was nineteen. She then spent 10 years studying in martial arts, and it is she who teaches us Wushu and other things. As proof that Ahsoka is capable, I'll show her freeze frames and snippets from the shows. Is this something you can help me with? Then she says, 'That is impossible.' Despite the fact that it's an animation, "we can do this." And it's been an incredible experience. Because of this knowledge and history, we have a lot to draw from.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal Stole a Prototype LEGO Minifig of His Character

A panel on Star Wars: The Mandalorian kicked off day three of Star Wars Celebration yesterday. Later in the day, Pedro Pascal made a surprise appearance at the gathering and stayed for the duration. Anecdotes regarding Pascal were recounted by Anthony Carboni, the show's presenter, during their conversation with actor Jason Mitchell. While Carboni was joking about how the fans think Pascal is "perfect and can do no wrong," Carboni admitted to taking an extremely essential LEGO piece and throwing him under the bus.

D23 was the place where the Mandalorian toys were going to be revealed, and a Mando minifig was included in the LEGO set Carboni mentioned. Carboni was told he couldn't move or touch any of the prototypes because they were so important and "one of a kind," according to reports. Carboni knew the stakes were high and vowed to himself, "I better not screw this up." The figure of Mando was gone at the end of the event, and Carboni was searched. The toy had been taken by Pascal, of course.

Pascal described how he initially thought: "That's small and that's me, and it belongs to me," he said. "They came looking for me... These people were all like, 'Uh, we need that stuff back,'"Pascal gave a sneak peek at the upcoming third season of The Mandalorian during the discussion.
