Clint Bowyer Surprisingly Absent From Fox’s Final Broadcast of 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Season

Clint Bowyer was surprisingly not on Fox's last NASCAR Cup Series broadcast of the 2022 season

Clint Bowyer has been a mainstay in the Fox broadcast booth since he started there before the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season. For the last two years, he has worked with Mike Joy. After Jeff Gordon left at the end of last season, they have worked with Tony Stewart, Danica Patrick, and Matt Kenseth, among others, as guest analysts in 2022.

This week is the last race that Fox will cover this season. Next week, NBC will take over. But in a strange turn of events, Bowyer won't be there. Since he started working for the network, he hasn't missed a race.Clint Bowyer worked for Fox's NASCAR Cup coverage the last two years.Tony Stewart and Clint Bowyer talk.

Clint Bowyer went from driving the car to working in the broadcast booth with Mike Joy and Jeff Gordon without missing a beat before last season. The two former race car drivers played well off each other, giving viewers useful information while making fun of each other.

This season has been different in many ways. Gordon has moved on to other business opportunities, so Bowyer and Joy have had a number of guest analysts over the course of the season.

Tony Stewart started the season's coverage and quickly showed that he was a skilled analyst who could also handle Bowyer's sometimes over-the-top behaviour. Stewart was one of the best guests, along with Patrick, Kenseth, Darrell Waltrip, Chad Knaus, and others. He will finish the season this weekend at Sonoma, where he won his last Cup race in 2016.

Clint Bowyer won't be able to watch Fox's last NASCAR show in 2022.

Bowyer's old boss will be in the booth, but Bowyer himself won't be there. Yesterday, when Larry McReynolds joined Joy in the booth to talk about qualifying at Sonoma, it seemed like something was wrong. Bowyer and the longtime announcer usually describe what's going on.

Jordan Bianchi from The Athletic tweeted on Sunday that the former driver, who turned 43 at the end of the month, would not be available.Fox Sports tells The Athletic that Clint Bowyer will not be on today's NASCAR broadcast because he is "handling a personal matter." The reporter tweeted this information.Since last week's race, things have been quiet.

Clint Bowyer was in the booth for World Wide Technology Raceway's first race, which took place last weekend. The man from Kansas was singing the track's praises.Bowyer's last tweet was also on Sunday, which is strange since his timeline shows that he tweets almost every day, and sometimes more than once in a day.

Last week, there was no sign that he wouldn't be at the season finale at Sonoma with his friend and former boss Stewart. It's a strange turn of events, and fans hope it's not serious or a sign of what will happen with him and the network in the future.
